  A business plan presents a business’ strategy and expected performance. E.g. predicting where the company will go. A business model is a mechanism that the company can use to generate profit. The business plan maps out the current situation of a business, the future goals and what they need to achieve the goals. The business model is used to achieve and build their value . This includes describing the business, the type of customer, what benefits the business has and how the company can deliver these benefits to the customer.

  Evaluation of self portrait   My aim in creating my self portrait was to depict what forms my identity in a simple way whilst demonstrating my creative passions and skill. This includes my interests, passions and aspirations. I chose the medium of a video due to this being my main creative interest and hopefully will lead to my final business plan in video production. I began the video with me writing my name on a newspaper, due to names being a main part of identity. I included a clip of Frida Kahlo to represent self portraits and art due to her famous self-portraits. Art and feminism are two interests of mine and I felt this artist encapsulated this at the beginning of my video. I included a title, ‘what forms my identity’, followed by a clip of me beginning to sign my name due to signatures being a form of identification.  Research into portfolio head shots • http://www.cjturner.com/about – Director, filmmaker, editor One photo of the filmmaker is featured on their website under the ‘About’ tab.  The solo shot features a black and white photograph of the filmmaker looking down whilst sitting on rocks. The composition places the filmmaker in the centre of the image and the has a shallow depth of field as the background is out of focus. This draws more attention to the filmmaker in the portrait photo. The photo represents the director as professional, simple and sophisticated due to the simple photo in black and white. There is no noticeable editing or props in the photo.  Researching creative digital portfolios • Art touches art ; Film and video production company - https://www.arttouchesart.com/ The front page gives an initial display of the company’s work with a video showing different clips of music videos and films that they have worked on. The masthead of the website gives links to various information on the company with dropdowns from ‘work’ and ‘about’ to allow viewers to look in depth at their portfolio. Scrolling down on the homepage, there are headers showing their ethos and core values of the company. E.g. Originality and creativity. They also show ‘videos for your business’ showing how they will target their customers and cater to them. ‘Music video production’ ‘Travel films and tourism videos’, ‘Video concept and scripting’.
