My product is video production. USP: Videos made with young people/ innovative ideas.

Demand in local area, video production for small, local businesses.

 

-Place

My video production is targeted at local businesses. This is sold online through my website. A physical premises/ studio/ store wouldn’t be financially viable in the start-up of the business so I feel the smartest way to sell the product would be online. Clients can use the website to send enquiries on their video productions, then they would be contacted with a quote on price and production plan. By selling directly from our website, this gives all revenue to the business.

-Price

Cost of production: £100 for equipment hire, £16 Premier Pro

Price: £250-£400

Profit: £134-£284 per project, depending on extra costs such as travel costs/ extra crew/ extra equipment/ permits for filming.

Some experienced video production businesses in the area charge from £900 for projects. Other bigger video production companies create for budgets of up to £100k. These are start-up costs, to gain clients to work with and to show the business potential.


-Promotion

My target market is people who want video production for their businesses. This includes a range of ages from 20s to 50s. I feel effective ways of promoting the business would be social media due to it being easy accessible, cheap and effective. I can also use various social media platforms to create ads to upload, targeting the appropriate audiences. When creating my customer type summary, I concluded that most of my customers would be very active on social media.

To appropriately target my business to my audience, I must hypothesis their behavior, character and socio economic factors. 


-People

My business would likely start of just being myself. After some months of developing the business I may have the financial freedom to employ a business partner to support me on productions. I plan to depict myself with my business and core values, showing I'm passionate about my business preposition. Customer care should also be a priority in my business with my values. This can be achieved by using the method of providing free productions to show the business' skill to potential clients.
